The Department of Mathematics at the University of Toronto is proud to offer a mentorship program pairing high school students interested in the field of mathematics study and research, with graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and faculty in the field. Students will be working on a math research project of their interests under the guidance of their mentor.
The program begins with an opening reception to meet all participants in January and ends with a closing ceremony in May to showcase their project to all mentees, mentors and family. Attendance is mandatory for the opening reception and closing ceremony. These sessions will be hosted in-person at the University of Toronto St. George campus.
Mentees will meet with their mentors on a regular basis either virtually or at the downtown location of U of T on a schedule that fits both of them about once or twice per month.
Please note this is a highly competitive program and some applicants may not receive a placement. We will strive to pair as many applicants as we can.
Successful candidates will be contacted by early December 2022.
